Tiger Photographic Safaris

Tiger is most iconic figure and the star of any forest. India has almost half of the world tiger population. The tiger deeply enshrined in our mythology and folklore. Here the tiger is part of stories and been the apex predator is the custodian of forests of South Asia. The tour designed to have an opportunity to observe and photograph this magnificent animal amidst its natural habitat.

Suggested Tour Plan Outline : New Delhi – Jabalpur – Bandhavgarh – Kanha – Pench – Tadoba – New Delhi

About the places planned for the trail are given below, followed by a suggested tour plan, however we can further customise the tour plan as per time available and destination of interest

New Delhi : Light birding upon arrival to set the pace for next day travel. Places which can be covered are : Sultanpur National Park : Located 37 km from New Delhi is the Sultanpur. The park is home many resident and migratory birds. The park is open to birding from October to June every year. Reaching there takes about 60 – 90 minutes from New Delhi City Centre (depending on the city traffic )

Jabalapur : An important town in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. Here we are going to halt for lunch / Some refreshment before proceeding to Bandhavgarh. 

Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve : Is relatively a small park as compared to other tiger reserves. What make this a sort out for is the good density of Bengal Tigers. The park has a rice bio-diversity and is one of the best places for wild tiger photography.

Kanha Tiger Reserve : Everything about Kanha is big. The place has some the best preserved grassland in central India. It is here that the highly endangered Barasingha ( 12 horned ) or Swamp deer can be sighted. 

Pench Tiger Reserve : This is the famous forest of India, where Mogli or man cub came into imagination of many through the The Jungle Book novel of Rudyad Kipling. Pench has a good tiger populations and some lovely landscape to photograph. 

Tadoba – Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR). The forest gets its name after the Tado tribe and the Andhari River. This IS Southern Tropical Deciduous forest has a very healthy patches of bamboo. Apart from Tigers, Wild dogs, Leopards, Sloth Bear, Gaur, Sambar, Cheetal, Chausinga, Nilgai to name the few. 

Ranthambhore : Lying 360 km from New Delhi and 180 km from Jaipur, Ranthambhore has a strong human history. The park is located around ruins of a UNESCO Site The Ranthambhore Fort. Being an open landscape is helpful for tiger photography. The entire area is now part of National Park. Ranthambhore has some of the world most famous tigers and they have put the place on the world map of conservation and tourism. 

Inclusions : 

a) Accommodation in India as the tour plan

e) Meals : One full cycle of meal i.e. Breakfast / Lunch & Dinner per day. Buffet meals would be served.
f) At many places the lunch would be picnic or meals in a eatery enroute to the next destination.

Suggested Tour Plan
 
Day 1 : New Delhi : Arrive in New Delhi and transfer to a hotel. Overnight in a hotel in New Delhi. 
Day 2 : New Delhi – Bandhavgarh : Fly or take overnight train to Jabalpur. Upon arrive drive to Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve. After lunch leave for afternoon jungle safari. Overnight in a wildlife lodge.
Day 3 : Bandhavgarh : Early morning & afternoon jungle safari. Overnight in a wildlife lodge.
Day 4 : Bandhavgarh : Early morning & afternoon jungle safari. Overnight in a wildlife lodge.
Day 5 : Bandhavgarh – Kanha : Early morning jungle safari. Return to the hotel  for Breakfast, check out drive to Kanha. Arrive by evening. Check in a wildlife lodge. Overnight in a wildlife lodge.
Day 6 : Kanha : Early morning & afternoon jungle safari. Overnight in a wildlife lodge.
Day 7 : Kanha : Early morning & afternoon jungle safari. Overnight in a wildlife lodge.
Day 8 : Kanha – Pench : After breakfast drive to Pench. Lunch enroute and rest upon arrival. Afternoon Jungle safari. Overnight in a wildlife lodge.
Day 9 : Pench : Early morning & afternoon jungle safari. Overnight in a wildlife lodge.
Day 10 : Pench : Early morning & afternoon jungle safari. Overnight in a wildlife lodge.
Day 11 : Pench – Tadoba : After breakfast drive to Pench. Lunch enroute and rest upon arrival.  Overnight in a wildlife lodge.
Day 12 : Tadoba : Early morning & afternoon jungle safari. Overnight in a wildlife lodge.
Day 13 : Tadoba : Early morning & afternoon jungle safari. Overnight in a wildlife lodge.
Day 14 : Tadoba : Early morning & afternoon jungle safari. Overnight in a wildlife lodge.
Day 15 : Tadoba – New Delhi : Early morning jungle safari. After breakfast drive to Nagpur. Lunch in a restaurant and take flight to New Delhi. Drive and check in a hotel. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 16 : New Delhi - Ranthambhore : Drive / Train to Ranthambhore with packed breakfast. Upon arrive transfer to a wildlife lodge. Lunch and leave for afternoon jungle safari. Overnight in a wildlife lodge.
Day 17 : Ranthambhore : Early morning & afternoon jungle safari. Overnight in a wildlife lodge.
Day 18 : Ranthambhore : Early morning & afternoon jungle safari. Overnight in a wildlife lodge.
Day 19 : Ranthambhore - New Delhi : After breakfast, drive to New Delhi. Lunch enroute. Transfer to the hotel. 
Day 20 : New Delhi : Breakfast, Transfer to International Airport. TOUR ENDS
